35 – Norway will send fighter jets to Poland – UNIAN

They will block the sky over an important logistics hub.

Norway will send multirole fifth-generation F-35 fighters and NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems to protect the logistics hub in Rzeszow, Poland.

According to Norwegian Defense Minister Bjorn Aril Gram, 100 Norwegian military personnel will also be stationed in Rzeszow. They will protect the most important hub for transporting civilian and military materials from other countries to Ukraine from the beginning of December:

“The airport is also important for medical evacuation, which Norway is responsible for. We do this primarily for Ukraine and Poland, but it also shows that we adhere to our NATO commitments.”
