44 liters of liquid cocaine were seized in Poland — World
The cargo was supposed to reach Poland via a route that passes through one of the European seaports and the customs point in Ostrava of the Czech Republic.
Polish border guards seized 44 liters of liquid cocaine, worth about 7.5 million zlotys (US$1.85 million), which was hidden in boxes of wine.
This was reported to Reuters by employees of the Border Service of Poland.
The drug seizure operation took place in the Lublin Voivodeship in southern Poland. Together with Czech customs officials, it was conducted by the Maritime Border Squad from the port city of Gdansk.
“The cargo, containing branded wine and concealed liquid cocaine, was initially sunk onto a container ship at a Panamanian seaport,” the Border Patrol said in a statement.
