The Swedish minister suffers from bananaphobia

The official claims that she feels something similar to allergies.

The Swedish Minister for Gender Equality, Paulina Brandberg, has a strong phobia about bananas, so her staff before official events are asked to ensure that these fruits are not in the premises that the official will visit.

This was reported by the Swedish tabloid Expressen with reference to e-mails from the Swedish minister's office.

“Paulina Brandberg has a strong allergy to bananas, so we would be grateful if there were no bananas in her places,” said one of the e-mails from the ministry, addressed to the Norwegian Judicial Agency before the VIP lunch.

Another e-mail from the official's office sent to the district administrative board said that “bananas are prohibited on the premises.”
