It is reported that this huge coral colony may be more than 300 years old, writes Interesting Engineering. “I was diving at the spot where the map said there was a shipwreck, and then I saw something,” said Manu San Felix, a marine biologist and National Geographic explorer. He described it as an “underwater cathedral.”
“This is very emotional. I felt great respect for something that remained in one place and survived for hundreds of years,” the scientist commented on the find.
