Antarctica was covered in tropical forests during the age of dinosaurs: scientists have found a tiny piece of evidence

In Antarctica, researchers have found amber for the first time, which indicates the existence of tropical forests near the South Pole millions of years ago.

If we could suddenly be transported to West Antarctica during the era of dinosaurs, we would not see a powerful ice sheet on the southern continent of the Earth. Instead, we would find ourselves in a dense, swampy forest where insects buzz among the flowers, ferns, and conifers. And now researchers have evidence of the existence of tropical forests in Antarctica.
