In Abkhazia, people are opposed to an agreement with Russia that would allow it to invest in construction projects in the region.
In the occupied Georgian region of Abkhazia, serious protests by local residents continue against the recently signed “Agreement on Investment Activities between Russia and Abkhazia”. This document reportedly allows Russian firms to invest in construction projects in the region.
The leader of the opposition party “Forum of National Unity” Aslan Bartsits announced the continuation of protests, including on November 15, the day of ratification of the agreement.
