Fico answered how long he will block Ukraine's membership in NATO — Politics
The Prime Minister of Slovakia declared his commitment to the future membership of Ukraine in the European Union, but not in NATO.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that he will block Ukraine's accession to NATO as long as he is the head of the government.

“Ukraine deserves an honest and fair peace that complies with the established rules. Ukraine can be a part of the EU, but it cannot be a member of NATO at all,” Fico said.
At the same time, he strongly spoke out against Ukraine joining the North Atlantic Alliance. The politician believes that this can cause a serious escalation of the global conflict.
“Ukraine's membership in the NATO defense alliance could lead to the outbreak of the third world war,” the prime minister said.
