British boxer Hamza Shiraz (21-0, 17 KOs) renounced his title European champion middleweight on the eve of the fight for the world champion belt on February 22, Sports.kz reports with reference to Boxing Scene.
The 25-year-old stopped Tyler Denny on the Daniel Dubois-Anthony Joshua undercard in September and is set to fight again on the IBF heavyweight title undercard when Dubois makes his second title defense.
Let us note that Hamza Shiraz’s promoters are currently negotiating his fight with the WBO and IBF middleweight world champion, Kazakhstani Zhanibek Alimkhanuly (16-0, 11 KOs).
