Olaf Scholz said that the newly elected US President Donald Trump has a “more sophisticated position” towards Ukraine.
The German politician said this in an interview with Sueddeutsche Zeitung.
“I got the impression that he takes a more sophisticated position than is often assumed,” the German chancellor assured.
When asked whether Donald Trump will try to conclude an agreement with Russia to end the war through the head of the Ukrainians, the chancellor said that in the conversation the US president-elect gave “no indication” that he would do so.
He added that Germany, in turn, will not agree to “peace under a dictate.”
We will remind, Germany may introduce sanctions against North Korea if its military will participate in the war against Ukraine.
