Portugal Poland – result and review of the match of the 5th round of the League of Nations – Sport
The Portuguese qualified early for the playoffs from first place.
Prefab Portugal defeated the team of Poland in a home match of the 5th round of the group round of the League of Nations of the 2024/25 season. The match at the “Dragau” stadium in Porto ended with a score 5:1.
All goals in this meeting were scored in the second half. In the 59th minute, Raphael Leau opened the score in the game, closing the serve of Nunu Mendes. In the 72nd minute, the hosts strengthened their advantage – Cristiano Ronaldo scored a penalty.
In the 80th minute, Roberto Martinez's wards hit the opponent's goal for the third time – Bruno Fernandes scored. And three minutes later, Pedro Netu scored for the Poles after a pass from Ronaldo.
In the 87th minute, Cristiano made a double, scoring the ball with a spectacular scissor kick. Poland responded only with a goal of prestige, the author of which was Dominik Marchuk in the 88th minute.
