Kirov doctors corrected a keeled breast deformity in a 14-year-old teenager

The Ministry of Health of the Kirov Region writes that specialists from the Traumatology Center successfully corrected the chest deformity of a teenager.

At the end of September, a 14-year-old boy sought medical help. The patient was diagnosed with keelbone deformity, in which the front of the chest protrudes, resembling the shape of a boat keel. In such cases, surgical intervention is required.

The deformity of the chest occurred in a teenager in early childhood. Nine years ago, doctors corrected the funnel-shaped deformity, which became keeled as the child grew.
