The fight between Jones and Miocic for the UFC title ended in a knockout – Boxing/MMA
American fighters John Jones (27-1) and Stipe Miocic (20-4) met in the main event of the UFC 309 tournament at the Madison Square Garden arena in New York (USA), Sports.kz reports.

The UFC heavyweight title was on the line. The fight, planned for five rounds, did not go the full distance. The victory went to Jones after a knockout in the third round. Thus, John won the 28th victory in his career and defended his belt, and Miocic suffered his fifth defeat in MMA. Video from the fight is presented below.
Let us remind you that in the co-main fight of the tournament, Brazilian fighter Charles Oliveira (35-10) defeated American Michael Chandler (23-9) by unanimous decision.
