Kazakhstani Vitaly Shchigolev won a gold medal at the Four Continents Speed Skating Championships in Hachinohe (Japan)Sports.kz reports with reference to Olympic.kz.
A representative of the Kazakhstan team won the men's mass start. Shchigolev’s finishing time was 8:22.05.
Second place went to David Da Ru (Canada) – 8:22.12. The top three was completed by Canadian Hayden Mayer – 8:22.77.

Nadezhda Morozova became second at a distance of 1000 meters, and the women's team showed the third result in the team sprint.
