The British prime minister made it clear that he does not plan to receive the same share of criticism and therefore will not call the Kremlin.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has “no plans” to talk to Vladimir Putin as Olaf Scholz faced a barrage of criticism over his conversation with the Russian dictator. The Telegraph reports this.
The publication drew attention to the fact that Starmer was unable to directly criticize the German Chancellor, but apparently did not approve of his conversation with the owner of the Kremlin.
“It’s up to Chancellor Scholz to decide who he talks to. I don’t plan to talk to Putin,” the British prime minister told reporters.
