Kazakhstan national team in saber fencing won a silver medal at the junior stage World Cup in Tashkent (Uzbekistan)Sports.kz reports with reference to Olympic.kz.
The team at the world tournament was represented by Zhailybay Nurmuhammed, Kaynazar Nurkatuly, Sultan Stanbek and Erkhan Karaman.
In the final the team met with Uzbekistan. The confrontation ended with a score of 45:35 in favor of the opponents.
Let us add that in the semi-finals the Kazakhstani saber fencers won against Romania – 45:36. The Romanian team was at that time the leader of the junior world rankings.
