In the Poltava region, a freight train crushed a man who was on the tracks
The police are investigating all the reasons and circumstances of the tragedy.
A man was fatally injured by a train in Poltava Oblast. The event took place near the village of Vyshneve, Bilytsk community.
This was reported to the police of Poltava Region.
“A freight train ran over a 40-year-old resident of the village of Biliky, Poltava district. The man died on the spot from the injuries he received,” the report says.
Based on this fact, the investigative unit of the police has initiated criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 276 (Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of railway transport, which caused the death of people) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation is investigating the circumstances and causes of the tragedy.
