In the arena Montreal Casino in Montreal (Canada) in the main fight of the evening, world champion in (minor) version IBO super middleweight (up to 76.2 kg) Cuban Oslais Iglesias (13-0, 12 KOs) inflicted a debut defeat on the Ukrainian Peter Ivanov (18-1-2, 13 KOs), Sports.kz reports with reference to Vringe.com.
From the opening bell, the challenger aggressively attacked the left-handed champion. Iglesias countered with a right hook and quickly took the initiative away from Ivanov: he smashed with jabs from a distance, dictated the pace and density of the fight, and combined.
At times the Cuban boxed too wildly, but the Ukrainian didn’t even try to punish him for it. Ivanov still rushed at his opponent with the intention of breaking into close range, but Iglesias fought all these attempts harshly…
