iCloud backup – old iPhones will lose access to an important function – UNIAN

Starting next month, Apple will officially ban iCloud device backups on iPhones and iPads running iOS 8 or earlier. This was reported by the MacRumors portal.

The changes take effect on December 18, 2024. After this date, backups will require iOS 9 or a later version of the system. Apple will also permanently delete all existing ‌iCloud‌ backups on older devices.
