How many men from Ukraine officially work in Poland

Before the full-scale invasion, slightly more than half a million Ukrainians worked in Poland.

As of the end of September 2024, more than 406,000 men from Ukraine are officially working in Poland. In total, almost 780,000 Ukrainians are employed in this country as of the end of September 2024.

This is reported by the Polish publication wprost.pl with reference to data from the Polish Social Insurance Institution (Zakładu Ubezpieczeń Społecznych).

“Among a million insured foreigners more than three quarters are citizens of Ukraine. According to ZUS, at the end of September this year, it was registered 779.3 thousand insured persons from Ukraine. And in this case, the trend is growing, because at the beginning of the year there were 755,000 people, and in 2022 – 746,000. Before the war in Ukraine, a little more worked in Poland half a million Ukrainians”, – write the Polish mass media.
