Russian nuclear threats should be perceived first of all as an attempt by Moscow to put pressure on Ukraine and the West.
The only thing Russia can do now is try to intimidate Ukraine's partners with its nuclear weapons. At the same time, changes in the nuclear doctrine of the Russian Federation “do not mean anything.”
This opinion was expressed by a military observer, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Reserve Major Oleksiy Hetman, on the air of “Radio NV”.
“Anything can be attributed to this. This is an attempt to scare our partners with nuclear weapons. Russia has been doing this throughout the war since 2014, and especially intensified these scaremongers after the full-scale invasion.
