A man bought a nuclear bunker that revealed radioactive material as a result of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant


A man who bought a concrete-walled nuclear bunker made an incredible discovery when he got inside – it was intact and fit for life.

According to the Daily Star, 37-year-old John Graves restored the 4.5-meter hole of the former Royal Observatory to preserve a piece of British Cold War history. The bunker, which contained radioactive material released by the Chernobyl accident, was manned by observers from 1964 to 1991 and concreted when he bought it three years ago.
