US President Joe Biden authorized the use of long-range weapons against the Russian Federation. This was officially confirmed by the State Department.
This was stated by Brian Nichols, US Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs.
According to Nichols, the weapons that President Biden allowed Ukraine to use will give it more opportunities for self-defense.
“If we are lucky, this will allow the Russian Federation to understand that the use of force to seize Ukrainian territory will not be successful, and perhaps it will start peace negotiations or, even better, simply leave Ukrainian territory.
