Ornithologists claim that birds are either unable or unwilling to let go of memories of threats. Experts insist that crows use their surprisingly good minds to take years of revenge on anyone or anything that dares to hurt them.
Their revenge missions have led to the residents of some cities starting to register attacks by angry crows. Professor John Marzluff, an environmental scientist at the University of Washington, says he gathered evidence for the existence of “avenging crows” after subjecting the birds to a nasty Halloween-style incident in 2006 to see how they would react.
