With the onset of winter, annoying condensation appears on the windows. However, there are life hacks on how to get rid of it.
DIY retailer Screwfix explained to Huffingtonpost that this phenomenon occurs when moisture in warm air collides with cold windows and condenses into droplets of water on the glass. This can damage the sealant and window frames.
“Closed curtains are great for preventing drafts, but they also prevent the central heating from heating up the window glass. This makes the glass cooler than it otherwise would be, causing condensation,” explains Screwfix.
To reduce this impact, experts advise keeping curtains open at least overnight.
