Scientists have discovered a unique phenomenon in one of the galaxies, which is located at a distance of 1 billion light years from Earth – two supermassive black holes that are jointly absorbing one gas cloud.
As IFLScience writes, scientists initially believed that there was one supermassive black hole at the core of the galaxy, absorbing gas or cosmic dust. However, newly discovered repeating signals have confirmed that there is not one, but two supermassive black holes, sharing a gas cloud.
