US military assistance – Trump will not leave Ukraine alone with Russian aggression – UNIAN
According to Andrei Deshchitsa, American military assistance began during the Trump administration.
US President-elect Donald Trump may increase aid to Ukraine to influence Russia. Diplomat, former acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Deshchytsia said this in an interview with Hromadske.
He recalled that American military assistance began during the Trump administration – for example, in 2018, the United States for the first time transferred Javelin anti-tank missiles and other weapons to Ukraine.
“We shouldn’t forget about this. I think Trump will call Putin and ask him to stop the military aggression against Ukraine. If there is a negative reaction from the Kremlin, the new US president will take this as a personal challenge,” the diplomat predicts.
