In the Transcarpathian region, a man who refused to be mobilized and abused his wife was sentenced to 3 years in prison.
This is stated in the verdict of the Volovetsky district court of Zakarpattia region.
According to the court, in January 2023, a 35-year-old resident of Transcarpathia categorically refused to receive a summons for military service. Thus he evaded mobilization.
Also, from September to November 2023, he abused his wife, with whom he raises two children. A resident of Transcarpathia kicked a woman out of the house and insulted her.
At the court, the man admitted his guilt and repented.
The court analyzed the case materials and found the resident of Transcarpathia guilty under Art. 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, Art. 126-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison. This sentence can still be appealed in the appeals court.
