From the very beginning of the full-scale war, the artist condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine and supported the Ukrainians. At first, Feklistov stayed in Russia, because he was convinced that in such times he needed his audience. However, performances with the actor began to be canceled due to his anti-war stance. In the end, Oleksandr Feklistov decided to move to Spain.

“I had the feeling that I had to work there, that I needed the audience and he needed me. During the war, I worked for a certain time. Then everything collapsed. They closed one performance, the second, the third…”, the actor told an interview for Mark Levy and Anton Privolnov.
