Former Astana and Maktaaral forward Junior Kabananga has completed his playing career, Sports.kz reports with reference to Meta-ratings.kz.
The 35-year-old striker reportedly made the decision due to a knee injury that has been plaguing the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations top scorer since last year.
Kabananga now plans to devote himself to working with the development of young players playing in the DR Congo.
Junior was a player for Astana in 2015-2017 and 2018-2019. Also in 2023, the footballer played for Maktaaral.
In total, Kabananga played 67 matches in the KPL, scored 25 goals and gave 10 assists, and also won the Kazakhstan championship four times, and the country’s Cup and Super Cup once each.
