Meteorologists recorded the rare phenomenon of “Cyclone-bomb”: what will be the consequences (video)

The rainy season has begun on the west coast of the United States. Meteorologists recorded the combination of an atmospheric river that carries moisture from the tropics and a bomb cyclone near the northwest coast of the Pacific Ocean.

On November 19, 2024, heavy sleet was observed in the mountains, and showers hit the coasts of Oregon and California. The storms are expected to last for several days, with winds of up to 112 km/h.

Chad Hecht, a meteorologist at the University of California, San Diego, noted that the combination of these two phenomena makes weather forecasting difficult.
