Strikes by Shahed – the aviation expert called Ukraine the most effective countermeasure

The number of drones that Russia launches over Ukraine has increased significantly.

Mobile groups, EW devices and even artificial intelligence are working to intercept and eliminate the Shaheds. However, the most effective way is to destroy production capacities on Russian territory that are involved in the production of UAVs.

Anatolii Khrapchynskyi, an aviation expert and deputy director of the company for the production of EW equipment, told 24 Kanal about this.

How to effectively counter Russian UAVs

It is known that in October, Russia released more than 2,000 drones over Ukraine. More mobile groups are needed to combat such scale, says Khrapchynskyi, but there is a nuance here as well. The fact is that the aggressor, in addition to the Shaheds, launches imitation drones, such as the Gerbera, which puts a strain on the air defense forces. EW is perfect for countering these UAVs, which allows them to be diverted from cities.
