Prosecutor's office employees were outraged by markups on products in Kirov stores

Specialists from Kirovstat, the Kirov department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia and the prosecutor's office of the Kirov region conducted an inspection of the consumer market. The results were reported in the press service of the supervisory agency.

Analysts from the state statistics service found that price increases in Kirov stores are often triggered by increased markups by chain and individual stores. At the same time, experts did not find any changes in the weight or volume of products when they were packaged.

The prosecutor's office confirmed the fact that products were sold at an increased markup. In addition, the supervisory agency revealed violations of GOST provisions regarding labeling and packaging. At the same time, in some cases there was no “Social price” designation on the shelves.
