Trump's nominee for attorney general withdrew his candidacy after a sex scandal
Matt Goetz, Trump's nominee for US Attorney General, who was against aid to Ukraine, withdrew his candidacy.
Florida Congressman Matt Goetz withdrew his candidacy for attorney general after allegations of sexual harassment and drug use.
Getz announced his decision on the X social network.
“You can't waste time on an unnecessary long fight in Washington. That's why I'm withdrawing my candidacy from consideration for the position of attorney general,” Getz wrote.
He admitted that he made this decision after meeting with senators the day before. Goetz also assured that he “remains fully committed to making Donald Trump the most successful president in history.”
