The top manager of Naftogaz, who left for Canada, wants to collect UAH 10.5 million in premiums from Ukraine through the court


The ex-general director of the GTS Operator, Serhiy Makogon, through the Supreme Court of Ukraine, demands payment of a bonus of UAH 10.53 million after his dismissal from the state-owned company.

This is evidenced by the decision of the Supreme Court of Ukraine from September 2024.

Makogon has been suing the state for that award since February 2022. The first two instances in 2024 found Makogon's claims unfounded, after which he appealed to the Supreme Court.

According to mass media, the ex-head of the GTS Operator left Ukraine in September 2023 and has been in Canada since then. He does not appear at court sessions, his interests are represented by lawyers.

In September, the Supreme Court opened proceedings on Makogon's lawsuit, but has not yet set a date for the next court session.
