“There is no dictatorship in the country”: Lukashenko threatened to turn off the Internet in Belarus
The self-appointed president is confident that the Americans are labeling him a dictator.
This winter, protests could break out again in Belarus in connection with new presidential elections. If this happens, the authorities will shut down the Internet in the country. This was stated by the self-proclaimed “president” of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with students.
According to the dictator, his removal from power as a result of the 2020 protests allegedly could lead to war. Lukashenko is confident that at that time the people of Belarus took to the streets en masse on instructions from Poland, and NATO troops were “charged” to invade the country.
“I understood what we could come to. We would have had a war worse than in Ukraine. We would have had it, it would have been tougher. They (NATO troops) would have advanced to Smolensk. What is the answer?…
