Every year at the end of November, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Holodomor. On this mournful date, we honor the memory of millions of Ukrainians who died due to the artificial famine caused by the Soviet government. 31 countries of the world recognized the Holodomor as an act of genocide against the Ukrainian people.
The massive famine of 1932-33 affected most Ukrainian regions. Almost every family has older family members who have preserved the memory of the terrible tragedy. And the task of modern Ukrainians is to pass on knowledge about the Holodomor to future generations.
