Strengthening nuclear energy and completing nuclear power plants is a strategic step for Ukraine,
The strategic decision for Ukraine is the priority of nuclear energy, in particular, the completion of units at nuclear power plants. This was stated by People's Deputy of Ukraine, Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine in 2007-2010, Alexey Kucherenko.
Commenting on the long-term prospects of nuclear energy, Kucherenko noted that its development, in particular the increase in its capacity, is important for the country's energy security.
“Nuclear energy, I think it is fundamental for us, it is strategic,” the deputy emphasized.
Recently, Energy Club Vice President Ivan Grigoruk spoke about plans for cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in completing the construction of the third and fourth power units of the Khmelnytsky NPP. According to him, the project involves the transfer of two nuclear reactors from Bulgaria.
