Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski has become a candidate for the presidency of Poland from the ruling Civic Coalition party. Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced this, RMF reports.
It is noted that according to the results of the primaries, Trzaskowski received 74.75% of the votes, while his competitor, Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski received 25.25%.
“I am convinced that we will come out of the primaries stronger, and I have a very strong mandate and a lot of energy, determination and courage to defeat Law and Justice,” Trzaskowski said immediately after the results of the primaries were announced.
