The indie developer platform Itch.io has updated its publishing rules.
The large indie games marketplace Itch.io will require asset developers to indicate the fact that generative artificial intelligence is used when creating their work.
The platform made this decision so that game developers could be confident in the origin of their assets. Now all content made by neural networks must have an appropriate tag.
This tagging tool is available for all pages, but is a required field for asset creator pages so that buyers know the origin of the content they purchase
