When Germany will hand over Taurus missiles to Ukraine – Ambassador Andriy Melnyk – World
According to an optimistic scenario, Ukraine will be able to receive long-range German missiles no earlier than April 2025.
After the early elections in Germany and the change of the head of the federal government, Ukraine may receive long-range German Taurus missiles. However, this will not happen before April 2025.
This opinion was expressed by the former ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, Andrii Melnyk, in an interview with Radio Svoboda.
According to him, there is a high probability of victory in the parliamentary elections of the Christian Democratic Union, after which the leader of this party, Friedrich Merz, will become the chancellor of Germany. This politician has repeatedly stated the need to transfer Taurus to Ukraine.
