Russia is unlikely to be able to establish mass production of its new Oreshnik ballistic missiles. As aviation expert Valeriy Romanenko explained in a comment to Ukrinform, Russia will use them only as a psychological weapon for “acts of intimidation” and warning.
“Such missiles are produced several times a year… It all depends on the capacity of the plant – Omsk or which one will do it (there are several of them in Russia). Additional production capacity will not suddenly appear from nowhere, and they will not stop producing other systems,” – he explained, adding that the cost of one Oreshnik missile is somewhere around 40 million dollars.
