Homemade dumplings may not turn out well if you make one big mistake – making the filling too wet.
An overly wet filling will ruin the dumpling, chef Kenny Leung told TastingTable.
The interlocutor added that you should not cut the filling into large pieces – they take longer to cook and can cause the dough to break. “Make sure the dumpling filling isn't too wet when you put it in,” the expert advised.
According to him, all the moisture needs to be evaporated from a filling, for example, meat or fish:
