Organization World Boxing announced the creation of a new Asian Boxing Confederationwhose tasks will include the development and promotion of boxing in Asiareports Sports.kz.
— It is a great privilege to take part in the creation of a breakthrough structure. Asian boxing today plays a special role on the world stage. And the new Confederation will work to strengthen its existing positions and give a new impetus to the development of this sport in our region,” the organization’s press service quotes the head of the NOC of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gennady Golovkin.
Let us note that at the moment Kazakhstan is a member of the International Boxing Association (IBA), but also performs under the auspices of World Boxing.
