According to the Daily Express, Foula Island is famous not only for its tiny population, but also for its incredible beauty and wildlife. People come here in hopes of seeing puffins and skuas, which nest on the towering cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean. These cliffs are among the highest in the UK, reaching a height of 370 meters.
BirdLife International has designated the island an Important Bird Area as it is home to large colonies of seabirds nesting on the cliffs and moorland.
