Coffee prices in New York have risen to their highest levels since 1997 due to crop concerns among leading producers. Thus, this threatens future increases in costs for producers and consumers, writes Bloomberg.

Arabica, an elite variety used for making coffee, increased in price by 3% on November 25. Coffee prices are sky-high this year, with key producers from Brazil to Vietnam experiencing major supply disruptions.
