The cleaning experts at Which? explained why there are actually three compartments in the washing machine drawer for various detergents. Some people may use them incorrectly, says express.co.uk.
“The largest compartment is for regular laundry detergent, liquid or powder,” the experts noted in an Instagram video.
They say the second largest compartment is for pre-wash detergent, which is used for clothes with “really tough stains”:
