According to experts, powerful people feel stronger than their partner, are less dependent on others, have a higher opinion of themselves, and are more confident that others find them desirable.

In romantic relationships, these power dynamics can lead the more powerful partner to believe they contribute more than their less powerful partner. More powerful people may see this as a sign that they have more options outside of the relationship and are generally more desirable partners.
