Direct budget support from the US reaches $6.8 billion this year
Today, November 27, Ukraine received a loan in the amount of $4.8 billion from the World Bank.
This was made possible by a $1.6 billion US grant and funds from other development partners, the Treasury Department said.
“The $4.8 billion loan will be used, in part, to cover essential social and humanitarian expenses such as salaries for health care workers, education workers, first responders and other critical government service providers,” the statement said.
