Europe faces the coldest winter since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Cold temperatures could push up already high energy prices because gas supplies are running low faster than usual.

Bloomberg writes that according to the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, air temperatures until March will be mostly below the level of the last two years. According to Maxar Technologies Inc., this will cause heating demand to reach its highest level since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
