Dollar exchange rate in Ukraine – the banker explained what will happen to the dollar until the end of 2024 – UNIAN
The rise in price of the dollar was influenced, in particular, by inflation and pauses in receiving international assistance.
By the end of 2024, the growth of the dollar exchange rate as a whole could be about 10%.
This forecast was voiced by the vice-president of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, chairman of the board of Globus Bank Sergei Mamedov, according to a commentary by UNIAN.
According to him, the main reasons for the growth of the dollar are:
- rising inflation due to objective factors (increasing electricity tariffs, increasing excise taxes on fuel);
- power outages that increased costs and made it difficult for businesses to operate;
- economic factors associated with the consequences of enemy missile and drone attacks: losses caused to the country’s infrastructure, reduction in GDP;
